Q: Do I need a license to ride a Jetski?
A: No, it is not a requirement because there will be a guide who has completed the NYS Boating Safety course nearby at all times.
Q: What do I do if I do not know how to ride a Jetski (No Prior Experience)?
A: We will be providing a safety lesson on how to operate and control a Jetski prior to each time we go out on the water and we will answer any questions you may have before we set out on the water.
Q: What is the minimum age to drive / ride the Jetski?
A: The minimum age to operate the Jetski is 18, that is a New York State law. The minimum age for a passenger is 14, Jetsking can be a dangerous activity for children.
Q: What if I fall off the Jetski while riding?
A: In that safety lesson on how to operate and control a Jetski, we will be covering how to re-board the Jetski in the unlikely event you were to fall off.
Q: What are the requirements to rent a Jetski?
A: The requirements to rent a Jetski in New York City are a minimum age of 18, some form of ID, and a credit card.
Q:What is the difference between a Jetski rental and a Jetski tour?
A: A Jetski rental allows you to ride around in a limited area for a set period of time. On a Jetski tour, one of our trained tour guides, will lead you on a certain route that you will get to see some of the most famous attractions and landmarks in New York City. We offer three different tours and have the option for photos to be taken on each of them. If you desire any trip that we do not offer please feel free to give us a call and we can make a custom trip for you.
Q: If I book a Jetski Rental can I go to the Statue of Liberty?
A: Unfortunately, no due to NYPD restrictions we can not allow rentals outside the assigned rental space. One of our personnel will be overseeing the rental space, and anything outside of the rental space must be a tour.
Q: Do I need a reservation to go out on a Jetski?
A: Yes, reservations are required as we offer 3 different types of tours and rentals going out at different times. Please check out our schedule by clicking "book now" in the upper right hand corner of this website and make a booking online by clicking the "Book Now" button.
Q: What if it is raining on the day of my reservation?
A: We will be constantly checking weather forecasts for the likelihood of precipitation and wind conditions to determine beforehand whether of not it will be safe to be out there riding on a Jetski. We do not ride any in any dangerous conditions, safety is our top priority. If any event came up that was during your reservation we would have to reschedule.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: If your reservation is not cancelled on our end due to weather conditions, we allow cancellations up to 12 hours in advance. Customers who do not call before the scheduled appointment and pull a no show will forfeit their payment. By completing this transaction, you are securing a space on the tour. We will only offer a reschedule given the advanced notice of 12 hours. Refunds will NOT be offered as you have a guaranteed secured space in our schedule.
Q: How many people can ride on one Jetski?
A: Each Jetski can fit up to two people comfortably with a combined weight of 350 lbs.
Q: Do you charge more for a passenger if I rent a Jetski or go out on a tour?
A: No, we do not upcharge for two riders on one Jetski.
Q: If I rent a Jetski or choose a Jetski tour for two people on one Jetski can we switch drivers?
A: Yes, we can even demonstrate the correct way to switch drivers while out there on the water so long as both of you have signed the rental agreement and water conditions are safe.
Q: What gear is provided?
A: We will provide for all our guests personal flotation devices (lifevests), and wetsuits in various sizes.
Q: What attire should I wear and what should I bring with me?
A: You should wear beach attire (bathing suits) to be comfortable. You might also want to bring watershoes, a towel, suntan lotion, and possibly sunglasses. We ask you to please also bring a small lock if you plan on leaving personal belongings in your gym locker.
Q: Do you have a place for me to leave my personal belongings while I am out on the water?
A: We have gym lockers on our dock that correspond to the particular Jetski you will be assigned to, we kindly ask you to please bring a small lock to secure your personal belongings in your own locker.
Q: Do I have to pay for gas or is it included in the rental or tour?
A: No, we would Never charge for gas it is included.
Q: Can I bring my cell phone with me?
A: We strongly do not recommend bringing any electronics as they can be extremely easily damaged (salt water is like acid to electronics).
Q: What kind of Jetskis are available to be rented?
A: Our fleet is made up of 2014, 2015, & 2016 Yamaha VX Waverunners. They are three seater Jetskis and are very comfortable, very stable, and extremely reliable.
Q: How fast can I go? (the big question!)
A: As fast as you want to!, You are the driver you can control your speed to a level you feel most comfortable with. Our Jetskis are capable of getting to speeds above 55 MPH in calm waters. We ask that our guests please operate the machine in a safe and responsible manner taking into account the wave height, current, and if you have a passenger on your Jetski.
Q: Where are you located?
A: We run our business out of a Marina, the address is 1900 Shore Parkway, and the entrance can be a little tricky to get to as it is actually located on Bay 41st Street. For those of you using a vehicle navigation system or Google maps on your cell phone the easiest way to get to us would be to use 417 Bay 41 Street in Brooklyn, NY 11214 for navigational purposes. Then either drive or walk to the very end of Bay 41st Street and the Marina entrance will be on the left side. We can be reached by public transportation by "B6" Bus to Shore Parkway and by the "D" Train to 25th Avenue.
Q: Will I be able to get photos of my tour?
A: We can provide you with photos from your tour, please ask your tour guide before setting out on the tour to go over pricing and to show you samples of the kind of photos to expect to receive.
